This exquisite beauty is an antique rose named SOUVENIR DE MALMAISON. Sadly she one of the roses we lost last year. We not sure why they perished, but it might have been the excessive spring rains of last spring. Whatever the reason, it was a sad occurrence and I miss this one. Althrough I’ve bought 14 new ones to replace what we lost, she’s a climber and we just didn’t have room for another climber.
Such a refreshing photo, so pleasing to the eye and paired with a wonderful quote too! 🙂

Looks like the roses our neighbor had growing on his trellis. We used to call them tea roses because of their sweet smell. It has been many years since I have seen one. I always loved them. Thanks for the memory. xo

Hello Patricia, in my parents ‘ garden, there was a rose tree I liked very much, Il had the shape of a ” parapluie “, and always covered with small pink flowers – near the peach tree… thanks too for the memory. ” A thing of beauty is a joy for ever “… 🙂

That is such a beautiful rose Natalie. Good thing you bought 14 more. Hahaha. That makes me smile, because you didn’t buy just one, but you wanted to make sure you had enough. Now you will have 14 amazing lovely roses like this one.
Love and hugs, my friend.

Oh Staci, I’ve has as many as 70 roses growing in my yard. I haven’t counted in a while, but I believe it’s still over 50. These latest four were part of a collection called the Downtown Abbey roses and each one is named after one of the characters. James loves to watch it and so I bought them for him. Love and hugs to you too, 🙂 ❤

Our house is on a large lot, and I have put beds all around the house itself and along the 3 fence lines. Then in front of the back fence and in front of the bed that runs along it is an island bed. And when the big spring bloom comes, the view and fragrances are amazing! Wish you could come visit then. 🙂 ❤

You are always welcome! Sadly when it gets so dreadfully hot, most of the roses bloom much less and some even less until in cools down in the fall. 😊❤️

Awwwww, I know you have a tough time with the heat, don’t you. It’s been hot here, but autumn is coming soon enough.
Prayed this morning for you and your health and also for the doctor(s).
Bless you.
