“And when the work of grieving is done,
The wound of loss will heal
And you will have learned
To wean your eyes
From that gap in the air
And be able to enter the hearth
In your soul where your loved one
Has awaited your return
All the time.”
― John O’Donohue, To Bless the Space Between Us: A Book of Blessings
I only wanted
light and love
and a bright morning star,
instead I got
wounds and fears
and agonizing scars!
Today I light a candle
in remembrance
of you,
I’ll brave
this present darkness
just to get
me through!
I accept Divine providence
because love
does not
go out!
In these hallowed corridors
there are
Angels devout!
The holy ground
I occupy
is my hiding place
with courage and surrender
I am tempered
with grace!
Love this. ❤ ❤ ❤
