It seems an ex-student of mine has found me on my blog and wrote this post today about our experience together. I thought perhaps my readers would enjoy the story.

Obviously you were an excellent teacher. My story is a bit different. I took three years of Spanish so I wouldn’t be required to take a ‘major’
science class. I just knew I would hate science (all that cutting, etc.,)
My senior year I needed one more class and asked by a friend to join her in chemistry which was not biology, I agreed. I absolutely loved it. Took an ‘A’ and a sulfuric acid burn from that class and immediately took it again in freshman college (without the burn). Later I became a nurse and loved that too. Life is sometimes strange, isn’t it?

It is indeed strange how life turns out sometimes. I would never have taken Chemistry, but I’m married to a chemist.
I’m so glad that your friend’s request led you to what you loved. Hugs, N ❤
