books a one day and one night stay near Il Duomo. Little did she know that the Hotel Manzione was in the heart of the city’s famous fashion district. In fact the street our hotel is on runs directly into the street where you see names like Prada, Gucci, Dior, Cartier, Valentino, and on and on it goes!
Thank you Lord for helping us and blessing us in so many ways.
With its many artists setting up easels each day for tourists the Place du Tertre is a reminder of the time when Montmartre was the mecca of modern art. At the beginning of the 20th century, many penniless painters including Picasso and Utrillo were living there.
Au revoir belle ville de Paris. Vous allez me marquee. Ooh la la! Je t’aime!
Thank you Lord for blessing us with a visit here and for keeping us safe from harm on our journey!
I love it here and will miss the Seine, its bridges, and the Eiffel Tower that have been a daily part of life here for us this past week. Oh how this city feeds my soul!
Thank you Lord for making a way for us to visit here again!
and so we were off to the Jardin de Luxembourg first thing. Loved watching children and adults alike renting the little boats to sail in the pond. We had lunch at Le Soufflé and dinner on the Champs Élysées. The soufflés were fabulous, and the macaroons from Laduree are equally sensational! Just another day of eating our way around Paris.
with the very best chocolate and cherries you have EVER had. Now imagine that same taste morphing into to-die-for chocolate ice cream with those fabulous cherries and topped with chantilly whipped cream, and you will know what to order at the bistro where we ate today. And just so you know what it should look like when it’s served, et voila, check out the photo above. This thing was so unfreakingbelievably FABULOUS!!! Je t’aime Paris!!! Mais, now to nap before the twilight dinner cruise along the Seine. Au revoirr, mes amis!
God is sooooooo good!
The taxis decided to strike today, and we have been limited to the areas around our hotel. The next bridge north of the Pont de L’Alma had hundreds of love locks on it, and so my photos today are of some of those. I pray all of you are well!
May the Lord bless you and keep you always. -Numbers 6:24
It was a fabulous day here in Paris, and after dinner we took our last walk of the day down to the Seine to watch the boats coming and going. Our hotel is only about 3 blocks from the Seine, and we are loving its location and little balcony! Bonne nuit pour l’instant! God is good, and I praise His holy name!
We’re in Paris. I’ve walked along the Seine at twilight, I’ve eaten chocolate chantilly, and I’ve been moved to tears once more! Here’s an apartment building across from the bistro where we ate and I want to live there!!! Praise the Lord!
