Nature was here a series of
wonders, and a fund of delight.
~Daniel Boone
Every day
I see or hear
something
that more or less
kills me
with delight,
that leaves me
like a needle
in the haystack
of light.
It was what I was born for –
to look, to listen,
to lose myself
inside this soft world –
to instruct myself
over and over
in joy,
and acclamation.
Nor am I talking
about the exceptional,
the fearful, the dreadful,
the very extravagant –
but of the ordinary,
the common, the very drab,
the daily presentations.
Oh, good scholar,
I say to myself,
how can you help
but grow wise
with such teachings
as these –
the untrimmable light
of the world,
the ocean’s shine,
the prayers that are made
out of grass?
~Mary Oliver
Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. ~Job 22:26 ✝

Thanks for all the kind words, Brad. I’m so glad you are throwing yourself into your homework! I always try to. I didn’t take this particular photo, but the ones that I do are taken with a Nikon D80. And I would highly reccomment it. It takes great photos and is worth the splurge. Hugs, N ❤

Yep— Joy, expectation and wonder are all just waiting–even on the darkest coldest windiest days of an endless winter—perspective, it’s all an issue of perspective—and I suspect your perspective is that of wily anticipation steeped in grand expectation 🙂
Here’s to wonderment which will be more readily available to you with a brand new knee 🙂
Waves of warm love—-
