1001. For man, as for flower and beast and bird, the supreme triumph is to be most vividly, most perfectly alive. ~D. H. Lawrence

I don’t ask for the meaning of the song of a bird,
or the rising of the sun on a misty morning.
There they are, and they are beautiful.

As a bird soars high
In the free holding of the wind,
Clear of the certainty of the ground,
Opening the imagination of wings
Into the grace of emptiness
To fulfill new voyagings,
May your life awaken
To the call of its freedom.
~John O’Donohue

Now the Lord is Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ~2 Corinthians 3:17  ✝

I’m late…

I’m late for a very important date.
Can’t stop to say hello, good-bye,
I’m late, I’m late, I’m late.

What a busy, busy week it has been, and the faster I’ve run the behinder I’ve gotten. Thus, sadly I’m not able to read your blog posts tonight or answer my comments. But, after tomorrow, things should be less hectic and I’ll be back. In the meantime, stay safe and be happy. Love, Natalie

1000. Poetry is when emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. ~Robert Frost

Everything

I want to make poems that say right out, plainly,
what I mean, that don’t go looking for the
laces of elaboration, puffed sleeves. I want to
keep close and use often words like
heavy, heart, joy, soon, and to cherish
the question mark and her bold sister
the dash. I want to write with quiet hands. I
want to write while crossing the fields that are
fresh with daisies and everlasting and the
ordinary grass. I want to make poems while thinking of
the bread of heaven and the
cup of astonishment; let them be
songs in which nothing is neglected,
not a hope, not a promise. I want to make poems
that look into the earth and the heavens
and see the unseeable. I want them to honor
both the heart of faith, and the light of the world;
the gladness that says, without any words, everything.
~Mary Oliver

He (Jesus) will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of His birth. ~Luke 1:14  ✝

Advent Peace – Slow Me Down Lord

Healing Soul Streams's avatarHealing Soul Streams

m pr e58a55f0dc1d892692b498938d4da21d

Slow me down, O Prince of Peace.
Help me to be still . . . in the silence . . .
to wait patiently for your coming.
So often I push too hard, trying to make things happen.
Help me to remember that in God’s time, all will be well.
Even in the swirling of creation, God chose to “rest” . . .
to wait. In this quiet resting I am more aware of the gifts of
God’s grace and mercy, and I can truly be at peace.
Help me to fall into the quiet space where silence dwells . . .
to feel the breath of the spirit resting upon me.
In this circle of silence there is safety . . . there is peace. Amen

So you can sing in my ear
the hymns of the spheres

To fill me with heavenly peace
beneath the moon and stars

Oh dance with me Yahweh
o’er fields of mercy and grace

as the angels and I sing, “Hallelujah”in praise of You
