974. Woe is me…

I was up at 5 AM which is just way, way too early for me to have to start cooking, but oh my was the meal ever so good. And I’m thankful but now I’ve eaten much too much. So woe is me at least for a little while!

972. Your sacred space is where you can find yourself over and over again. ~Joseph Campbell

If you’re really listening,
if you’re awake to the poignant beauty of the world,
your heart breaks regularly.
In fact, your heart is made to break;
its purpose is to burst open again and again
so that it can hold evermore wonders.
~Andrew Harvey

Teach me how to trust
my heart,
my mind,
my intuition,
my inner knowing,
the senses
of my body,
the blessings of my spirit,
teach me to trust these
things
so that I may enter my
sacred space and love
beyond my fear
And thus
walk in balance
with the passing of each
glorious sun…
~A Prayer of the Lakota

Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare. ~Psalm 40:5   ✝

But we have flowers…

Have a kleenex handy when you watch this. It is so touching and sweet and powerful. Thank God for flowers and for the hope they so often bless us with. Love to all, Natalie 🙂 ❤

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

I don’t know if you have had an opportunity to see the video clip of the conversation between young Brandon Le and his father, Angel Le.
The Le’s are french citizens living in Paris. Angel had brought young Brandon, a preschooler, out to see first hand the growing memorial of flowers and candles…in hopes that young Brandon could better process the city’s recent tragic events.
The conversation is both heartwarming and encouraging—
May we all remember that we have flowers…..

970. In the world of words, the imagination is one of the forces of nature. ~Wallace Stevens

Words can sometimes, in moments of
grace, attain the quality of deeds.
~Elie Wiesel

Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble. ~Yehuda Berg

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. ~Colossians 3:17   ✝

968. O rain, tear-like drops of almighty nature…in times of need you are a blessing. ~Excerpted lines from a poem by George Krokos

A
drop
of rain is
like a sudden
knock at the door.
Unexpected, yet often
welcomed with a smile. It
can brighten your day or ruin
your plans. It can make you laugh
or make you sad. Whether a raindrop
is moving fast or slow, or is big or small,
it always gets everyone’s attention. A rain-
drop contains many secrets. It’s a bubble of
excitement and wonder cleansing the earth,
nuturing the flowers, and filling the cracks.
The rain is seldom silent. It taps on roofs,
spatters on the windows, and splashes
down making mud puddles; those
are ways for raindrops to play.
Pitter patter, pitter pat
Pat, pat, pat!

Rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. ~Excerpted line from Joel 2:23   ✝

**I found this clever rain drop on the Internet and then changed it somewhat to make the shape a little more a drop of rain.

Waves of Sand

Oh, I miss the sea so much and this just made my night. I wonder if it’s too late to pack up and head south to Galveston?! I’m so need of some vitamin Sea! Enjoy! 🙂

Waves_Sand

The slow symphonic evening kiss of sun, tide and sand, rhythmically pulling everything into an oceanic pulse: the sand moist, the air wet and me, salty and sticky, finding beauty in one the most simple, common elements of earth … a few shallow waves of sand.
