He knows no winter, he who loves the soil,
For, stormy days, when he is free from toil,
He plans his summer crops, selects his seeds
From bright-paged catalogues for garden needs.
When looking out upon frost-silvered fields,
He visualizes autumn’s golden yields;
He sees in snow and sleet and icy rain
Precious moisture for his early grain;
He hears spring heralds in the storm’s turmoil.
He knows no winter, he who loves the soil.
~Sudie Stuart Hager
…and the Lord your God will make you abundantly prosperous in all your undertakings, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your soil. For the Lord will again take delight in prospering you, just as He delighted in prospering your ancestors… ~Deuteronomy 30:9 ✝

I’ll be glad when my neck of the woods gets as colorful as yours 😉

Bless your heart. I just saw pictures of Atlanta on the news and it is a very white world indeed. I pray this is your last blast of snow and that soon your area will begin to green up. We’re going to be in the 70’s for quite a few days and that will make everything think it’s time to start and then if a late freeze comes it will nip it all. Do stay warm and safe today. Hugs, Natalie 🙂

It’s nice to browse all the spring catalog but if I bought everything I wanted too, I could never get it all planted. Planting is half the work, then you gotta take care of int all.;-)

I agree 100%. Just have to put them aside after awhile and say that enough is enough. Blessings, Natalie 🙂
