316. On the first warm day of spring I dig my fingers deep into the soft earth. I can feel its energy and my spirits soar. ~Helen Hayes

…the garden is not only a place
to make things grow and
to display the beautiful flowers of the earth,
but a place that should accord
with various moods of its admirers.
It should be a place
in which to hold light banter,
a place to laugh, and, besides
should have a hidden corner in which to weep.
~Alice Lounsberry

Nor is the fragrant garden ever wholly our own…
Over hedge and wall,
and often far down the highway,
it sends a greeting
not alone to us who have toiled for it,
but to the passing stranger,
the blind beggar,
the child skipping to school,
the tired woman on her way to work,
the rich man,
the careless youth.
~Louise Beebe Wilder

Thank you, Jesus, that you save, you heal, you restore, and you reveal Your Father’s heart to us!

The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng: Psalm 68:11 ✝

  2. I’ve had my little fingers in the dirt today…merely planting some ivy ground cover in the “pine straw islands under the big oaks. I wanted to be doing so with new flowers along the walkway but it’s suppose to be 27 here tonight—have you ever?! Freezing tonight and tomorrow night with temps in the high 40’s tomorrows with wind up to 30 mph—can we just say that this weather business, this Spring of our is psycho!!!

  3. I’ve got my fingers wrapped around a hot mug of tea today. Chilly and windy in North Florida today. Makes me grateful for a warm house and sweatshirts. 🙂

    • Thank you, Annette. It is warming some now. Also, just to let my readers know. I’m having a hard time with a health issue right now and now I can post nothing on my blog nor can I get any help from WordPress with whatever the problem is. So please pray for me that these issues will be resolved soon. Blessings to all, Natalie 🙂

  4. Did you leave that comment on my blog post on Monarchs? I have seen your posts each and everyone of them and have seen you make comments on the blog’s of others. I had no idea you have been having health issues and for that I am sorry. You are the second blogger this week to tell me of your health issues. I just assumed you moved on to other blogs that you prefer.

    • I did leave the comment on all my readers comments today, Donna. I don’t usually discuss my health issues but on top of the issues that began yesterday with my blog, I went into a state of overload in trying to cope with them. I’m usually a trooper about such things but after the death of my cat last week and with the ongoing pain in my knee and foot, I had a melt down. I’ve not made as many comments lately because of all the discomfort I’ve been in. I’m so sorry you to led you to believe otherwise. I read all your entries but their have been days when all I could do was hit the like buttons. Blessings, Natalie 🙂

      • Sorry to hear of the death of your cat. I know how that hurts deeply being a pet lover myself. I can understand being in pain as well. I was in the emergency room this past week from a very bad fall from a bridge. I am fine now, but still have a bit of pain in my back. I hope all is well and as you know, I always visit when a comment is left.

      • Thanks, Donna. I’m so sorry to hear about your fall as well. I pray your health is restored and you are well again very soon. I know you are faithful to comment and I appreciate that. I try to be too, but for a couple of weeks, it’s been hard to keep up the good front as it were. Again, thanks for your concern about me and the death of my sweet Tuxie. I really do enjoy reading your posts and looking at your photos. Have a great week and feel better. Hugs, Natalie 🙂
