The Geranium
~by Leonard Feeney
If you wish to grow a lily
With its white and golden hue,
You will have to have a mansion
And a gardener or two.
A rose must have a radiant bush
With lots of room and air;
And a peony wants the terrace
Of a multimillionaire;
But all a poor geranium
Will ever ask a man–
Is a little bit of fragrant earth
And an old tomato can.
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. ~Song of Songs 2:12 ✝
Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you save, you heal, you restore, and you reveal Your Father’s heart to us! You have captured me with grace and I’m caught in Your infinite embrace!

I’m always impressed with your sense of color combination as well as your mix of textures with all of your photos—yours or borrowed—are you sure you weren’t an art teacher in a former life 😉

Thank you, Cookie, I’m glad you enjoyed the post. I have enough hours in art for a minor, but those were earned just because I wished I had the talent to be an artist. I did sponsor a high school yearbook for 5 years and so learned a lot about photography, not only taking good pictures, but learning to crop, enhance, and do lay attractive outs. All these photos today I found on Pinterest, but I edited them as I nearly always do, and then created the opposing pairs. So part of the work was mine. Also my mom made all my clothes and she had a great eye for color and style. I eventually learned to sew and made all my clothes after she could no longer sew for me. Somewhere in all that I guess I gained some skill at such things. Hugs, Natalie 🙂
