368. The poppies hung dew-dabbed on their stalks. ~John Keats

Poppies

The strange bright dancers
Are in the garden.
The wind of spring
Is a soft music.

Image

Scarlet and orange,
Flaming and golden,
The strange, bright dancers
Move to the music.

Image

And some are whiter
Than snow in winter,
And float like snowflakes
Drifting in the garden.

Image

Oh, have you seen them,
The strange bright dancers,
Nodding and swaying
To the wind’s music?
~P.A. Ropes

He let loose the east wind from the heavens and by his power made the south wind blow. ~Psalm 78:26   ✝

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you save, you heal, you restore, and you reveal Your Father’s heart to us! You have captured me with grace and I’m caught in Your infinite embrace!

    • Thanks, Gigi. I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. Iceland poppies are one of my favorites in spring and I nearly always have to sing their praises at this time of year. The colors are just so amazing as are the the paper thin, delicate blooms. They remind me in a way of those little paper umbrellas thingies they put in drinks. I pray your week is going well. I don’t tell you everyday, but your “chicks” and their antics are always a bright spot in my day. Hugs, Natalie 🙂
