444. We dance round in a ring and suppose, but the Secret sits in the middle and knows. ~Robert Frost

Into my life, larger than life, beautiful, you strolled in.
I hid in my ordinary days, in the long grass of routine,
in my camouflage rooms.

You are my hiding place. You always fill my heart with songs of deliverance. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. ~Excerpted lyrics by Michael James Ledner

O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. ~Song of Songs 2.14   ✝

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. ~Psalm 32:7   ✝

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you save, you heal, you restore, and you reveal Your Father’s heart to us! You have captured me with grace and I’m caught in Your infinite embrace! Like Saint Hildegard may I too be a feather on your holy breath and spread, like seeds, the gospel abroad.

    • I love it when I find flowers peeking out at me from some kind of thicket. Mine morning glory vines have gone nuts and sometimes the blooms appear to be hiding in those masses of leaves. I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. And ya never know, there may be a ring around the rosy one day. Hugs, N 🙂

  1. I am sitting near the sliding glass door in my kitchen. I have grown moon flowers, and blue morning glories before, but they were never that beautiful shade of blue in the photo above! I cannot get over the beauty of God’s creation. I am so glad you include photos like this in your blog posts.

Yesterday I visited a ladies Sunday school class at a church I had never attended before. As they discussed marriage relationships they mentioned the Song of Solomon. To be cherished and shelterd by the Lord as Song of Songs 2:14 describes is something almost too lofty for me, when I consider how sinful I can be, but there it is, and I am so thankful.

    Love and blessings,
    Theresa

    • I’ve have the heavenly blue ones you are talking about and then I have these really blue ones that are in the photos above, These darkers ones with their pinkish centers are stunning and have become one of my favorites. Given how sinful any of us are, Theresa, it’s just too amazing for words. And I read once that if Thank You is the only prayer we ever said it would be enough. So thankful you and I shall be!!!
      Hugs and love, N 🙂
