If facts are seeds that later produce
knowledge and wisdom,
then the emotions and
the impressions of the senses
are the fertile soil
in which the seeds must grow.
~Rachel Carson
God made the forests, the tiny stars, and the wild winds–
and I think that He has made them partly
as a balance for that kind of civilization that
would choke the spirit of joy out of our hearts.
He made the great open places for people who want to be…
away from the crowds that kill all reverence.
And I think He is glad at times to have us forget
our cares and responsibilities so that we may be nearer Him–
as Jesus was when he crept away into the wilderness to pray.
~Margaret Elizabeth Sangster
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. ~Mark 1:35 ✝

the contemplation of her beauties to know of wonder and humility… so beautiful! I love ferns, they are magical, maybe because they are former inhabitants of our world… and the fragility of their fronds is like a reminder of ours! Thank you dear Natalie, have a nice Sunday ♥♥

I think for you and I the world has always been a wondrous place and that is a gift in and of itself. I wish it were so for everyone! I, too, adore ferns. Fragile they are, but there is strength in that fragility and in ours. I pray you have a great week, cher. Hugs, N 🙂 ❤

I fell in love with it when I found it on Pinterest, but it was a bit too dark. So I lightened it up a bit and brightened the colors.
I’m so glad you loved it. Hugs, N 🙂 ❤

Wow, I love this quote from Rachel Carson. I had to read it a couple of times to fully understand it. But doing so really proved to be beneficial. The whole issue of balance. Yes, we need reason and logic, but they need to marry emotion and feeling. It’s not one or the other, but both.
Awesome MN.
