The wine of divine grace is limitless:
All limits come only from the faults of the cup.
Moonlight floods the whole sky from horizon to horizon;
How much it can fill your room depends on its windows.
Grant a great dignity, my friend, to the cup of your life;
Love has designed it to hold His eternal wine.
~Rumi
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. ~Hebrews 4:6 ✝

A fellow blogger sent me that Rumi poem the other day and I knew the instant I read it, I would have to use it on my blog sometime and today was the day. Another lovely post, Natalie. I like the idea of grace and the term “grace” — it’s come to mean several things in our culture today., all positive, but I like the original best.

You are so sweet, Frederic! This made me laugh out loud and I so needed to laugh today. My cup has had a hole in it and I’ve needed it to be repaired so it could be fiilled to overflowing with God’s grace once again. And your two grace-filled comments today have done much to repair the brokenness. Seulement un poète français serait de savoir comment parler à l’âme d’une femme dans une telle belle façon!!! Je t’aime et je t’adore!
