The breeze at dawn
has secrets to tell you;
Don’t go back to sleep.
~Rumi
Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life,
In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth,
The glory of action,
The splendor of beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow only a vision,
But today well lived makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.
~Kalidasa (2500 BC Sanskrit)
The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. ~Psalm 65:8 ✝

Oh, Trini, I’m so glad you enjoyed the post and the photo! When I used to go to work very early in the morning, especially this time of year and later in the fall and winter, I went through a rural area where there was a horse corral down in a low spot in the terrain. Often there would be a low lying fog, and I loved the way the horses looked in the early light and fog. But that was before I got my camera and got into taking pictures so sadly I didn’t get any of that magical place. Now it’s gone and I don’t go down that road much any more., but when I found this image on Pinterest, I fell in love with because it was so reminiscent of that pastoral scene that I loved so much. My day is going well. I pray your day is too!!! Love and hugs, N 🙂 ❤

Oh how I used to love the dawn. Gratitude yes – but such little love of near anything left at the moment – an empty vessel. I love that quote by-Rumi — it reminds me of what I used to see and feel. ❤

You will see and feel those things again, BG. Waiting seasons are the hardest to endure, but you will make it
through this, and then your sweet little vessel will be filled to the brim again. In the meantime we shall forge ahead with what we’ve got until we make it through our waiting seasons. Hugs and love, Auntie N 🙂 ❤

Thank you, Karen. Every new day is a gift and sadly sometimes in the “fret and fever” of life we lose sight of that.

Wow, I love this Rumi quote. I will be moving in the beginning of the year to a hilly place. I know that waking up to witness the sunrise would be an unforgettable experience. I am not a morning person, but I really want to try and become one, at least a couple of times, in order to witness a beautiful sunrise with a a fresh cup of coffee in hand and the blessing of the freshness that the beginning of a new day can bring. Living in Brazil brings benefits as well, as I would not be cold, but just comfortably warm.
Bless you Natalie.

Thank you for blessing me, Staci. Oh I’d love to see pictures of where you live! The back of my house where my big patio glass doors are faces east and so I get to see the sunrise on many a morn, and some of them, especially this time of year, are just so spectacular. Often they just nearly take my breath away! Have a blessed Sabbath, Staci. Love and hugs, N 🙂 ❤
