A man should hear a little music,
read a little poetry, and see a fine picture
every day of his life, in order that
worldly cares may not obliterate the sense
of the beautiful which God
has implanted in the human soul.
~Johann Wolfgang Goethe
—And I have felt
A presence that disturbs me with the joy
Of elevated thoughts; a sense sublime
Of something far more deeply interfused,
Whose dwelling is the light of setting suns,
And the round ocean and the living air,
And the blue sky, and in the mind of man:
A motion and a spirit, that impels
All thinking things, all objects of all thought,
And rolls through all things. Therefore am I still
A lover of the meadows and the woods
And mountains; and of all that we behold
From this green earth; of all the mighty world
Of eye, and ear,—both what they half create,
And what perceive; well pleased to recognise
In nature and the language of the sense
The anchor of my purest thoughts, the nurse,
The guide, the guardian of my heart, and soul
Of all my moral being.
~Excerpted lines from a poem
by William Wordsworth
The heavens praise your wonders, Lord, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. ~Psalm 89:5 ✝

Whoa—is that image simply not amazing???!! It’s as if we have a front row seat to a small glimmer of the Creator’s vision—splendid–
God has shared a hidden gem for those willing to take the time to actually look and truly see—oh thank you for sharing Natalie—

I love the advice from Johann Wolfgang Goethe. I think I just might follow it. At least with the poetry and music. The film might be a bit tough though. Oh, if I only had more time.
Beautiful N.

Awwwww, thanks Natalie. You bless me.
By the way, I’m thinking of doing some in depth study on the life Mary and even Martha. I’ve been reading in John and it’s very interesting to me to see how the two sisters were so different, and how Jesus treated each of them according to their unique and individual temperaments.
Blessings.

Ah! Natalie what a georgeous post: the picture is incredible… Yeats’ post is great…
” the sense
of the beautiful which God
has implanted in the human soul.” Goethe always finds so perfect words… and the biblical mention…
You’re blessed, and you are a blessing 🙂 I ♥ you!

They’re more than worth reading. You right beautifully, it’s not difficult to see that you were in education, you write with such intelligence and literary form — and then there’s the genuine aspect of you, sometimes raw, sometimes, giddy and silly – just you, you’re you, and it’s wonderful. 🙂 ❤
