Just thinkin’ about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
‘Til there’s none!
When I’m stuck in a day
That’s gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!
The sun’ll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
‘Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You’re always A day A way!
~All lyrics above are from ANNIE
written by Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin
As you can see in my photo, Jack Frost came for a brief visit during the night and added a touch of icy sparkle to the edges of a yellowed, fading leafy nugget. And after a series of gray, gloomy, below-freezing days, the sun has come out filling our hearts with hope and glorifying autumn’s remnants with lovely, luscious light.
As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise You more and more. ~Psalm 71:14 ✝

Love it Natalie!! The photo is beautiful…and Annie is one of my favorites. I got to work on the scenery for the play last Christmas at our local 600 seat theatre. It was the first time I saw the play! The song is a beautiful ode to how we should stay in our Faith!! Much love ❤

Thanks, Lorrie, I’m glad you liked my post and photo for the day. When I woke up and saw the sun shining after all the gray, gloomy days we’d been having that’s the first thing that came to mind and I started singing the song. So I just decided to go with the song for my post! Hugs, N ❤

It was perfect Natalie!!! I am very affected by the sun so I understand. That is one of the things I am so grateful for…to live in the “sunshine” state. I remember winter up north…gray & sticks! Everything here is in technicolorl all year long! I wish you that beautiful giant orb of light whenever you need it!!! ❤ ❤

You’re singing my song—today is wet, grey, windy and cold (the winds broke my “make shift” bird feeder pole I bought from Lowes—a fragile waste!!) and the high tomorrow is not predicted to get over freezing—but it’s all good because tomorrow, there will be sun!!!
A lovely image with heartening words!!!
cheers to Texas—hugs and warm love from Georgia!!!

Wonderful Natalie. I loved Annie. I went to see it with my great Aunt when it first came out, but the line up was too long and we didn’t get in to see it. You know, I used to do musical theatre. I would have loved to do Annie.
Stunning photo, and I love how you expressed yourself about the cold days and your appreciation of the sun. I can’t wait for the sun to shine here again. It was sooooo hot, and then all of a sudden we got a ton of rain and cold. I’m so tired and fatigued and depressed because of it. I am not one that takes sudden changes in climate well at all. My body and emotions just can’t handle it. Pray for sun for us, my friend.
Love and hugs.

Thank you, Staci! Oh I’m sorry you didn’t get to see it. It was really good. I pray the sun shines for you very soon. It sure was a welcome sight here and such a long and gloomy spell. Love and hugs, N ❤

Oh no, I did end up seeing it after. Just not that day. THanks for the prayers Natalie. I really need some sunshine. It’s like winter here right now, right in the middle of Spring. Brrrrr.
Love and hugs to you.

Beautiful photo. Annie was such an optimist and there is nothing wrong with that – it means we have hope and faith. 😀

I loved your post. Just for contrast, I have green leaves on trees and snow everywhere. It is confusing and sad. LOL. Hugs, Barbara

Thank you, Barbara. I’m so glad you enjoyed my post. Most of our trees are still green as well. This leaf was actually on a Rose of Sharon shrub. Hugs, N ❤

Used to love this song, even though it’s really kitsch. Played it on the phonograph (remember those?) when I had to clean the house. But I never thought of it in terms of real sun coming out after a nasty cold and rainy day. Good for you!!! 😀

Thanks. When I saw the sun this morning, Nina, that song was the first thing that crossed my mind for some reason. And so I thought why not just got with it. Hugs, N ❤

Oh, no!!! I just wrote a loooong comment for you and it disappeared!!! Oh no!!! I dont like when that happens!!! Well I basically said that I love Annie and that I miss Jack Frost and then there was a whole lot of singing, and then I asked if you wanted to read my poem about The Winter Fairy here: http://grannygarden.wordpress.com/2014/11/18/the-winter-fairy/
