Red is the first color of spring.
It’s the color of rebirth,
Of beginning.
~Ally Condie
WHAT IS RED?
Red is a sunset
Blazing and bright.
Red is feeling brave
With all your might.
Red is a sunburn
A spot on your nose.
Sometimes red, is a red red rose.
Red is a sunset
Blazing and bright.
Red is feeling brave
With all your might.
Red is a sunburn
A spot on your nose.
Sometimes red, is a red red rose.
Red squiggles out
When you cut your hand.
Red is a brick
And the sounds of a band.
Red is a hotness you get inside
When you’re embarrassed
And want to hide.
When you cut your hand.
Red is a brick
And the sounds of a band.
Red is a hotness you get inside
When you’re embarrassed
And want to hide.
~Mary O’Neill
He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; he led them through the depths as through a desert. He saved them from the hand of the foe; from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them. ~Psalm 106:9-10 ✝

Thanks, Dan. I had fun putting this one together, and there is more to come. I decided with Valentine’s day on the way, it was a great time to take a look at the color red. 🙂

I bet you could probably already guess this but I have always had a secret desire for my very own little red vespa 🙂
Thank you for reminding me not to let that little bucket list query pass without further investigation HA!
Love the jolt of red on this dull grey day!!

I think I’d love to have one or at least ride one too. What I really would have loved though was that little
Red Thunderbird. I’m glad the jolt of red brightened your day. There’ll be more to come in the next few days. Hugs, N 🙂 ❤

I’ve got 4 more days of red posts which is a little premature for Valentine’s Day but with my surgery coming up on the 17th, things may get a little hectic and I wasn’t sure how much more time I could dedicate to my blog before then. I’m glad all is well with you. The pain has worsened in my knee again but I’m hanging in there. ❤

I am sorry your knee pain is getting worse and not better, I will be thinking of you on the 17th, you must let us know as soon as you can how you are. I think it will be a blessing for you to get this over with and start feeling good again and out of pain. I don’t know about you, but I have a very low tolerance to pain, I am really feeling for you. Have fun with Valentine’s day post, I must think of something good to post in honor of that. ❤

Wow, that red really jumps right off the page, and the little poem was awesome. I’m sorry to hear your knee is acting up even more, but at least the 17th is now less than two weeks away. Maybe if you picture yourself driving to the hospital in that awesome Thunderbird, it might make the last 13 days go a little quicker. Lots of good thoughts coming your way.

Red does that, doesn’t it?! It’s definitely a jumping kind of color. I’m glad you enjoyed the poem. Yes, I had my pre-op appt. at the hospital today. Oh how I wish I had that little red thunderbird, and yes that sure might take my mind off the surgery. But then again, maybe not. Hugs, N 🙂

I trust everything went well with the pre-op? You should be resting, not thinking about racing Thunderbirds. Lol.
