  1. What a lovely post, Natalie.
    I think you have a typo after the last quote – I believe you meant to write Blaise Pascal, not Alfred Camus. Or did Camus repeat this wonderful Pascal saying (sometimes referred to as a “critical wager” or “Pascal’s Wager”).

      • It’s a simple enough idea – on the face of it – that many people might have thought it! And I see that you’re right, Natalie: Camus is credited with this thought as well — though expressed slightly differently. These two men held such different ideas about God that it appears they meant two different things!

        Thinking about you this week. Julian of Norwich comes to mind: “All shall be well and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.” BTW, TS Elliot used this line as his own centuries later….

The countdown is on my friend—I wanted to let you know that I’m saying prayers and have now lifted those prayers a bit higher as in the most recent posting I have remembered you and have asked other to join my in prayer for your surgery and splendid recovery —-I was also award the Inspiring Blogger Award and have in turn passed the torch to you as well—no worry that you must “play” the game—just enjoy the warm accolades as you prep for that new knee 🙂

    • Indeed it is, sweet Julie. And though I’m trying not to be frightened or worried, it pops up every now and again. Thank you so much for praying for me and for imploring others to do so. You are such a lovely, caring person and I’m honored to be your friend and blogging buddy! I’ve given my daughter your email address along with a few others. Her name is Nikki
