Every day may not be a good…
but there is something good in every day.
~Alice Morse Earle
Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself. ~Og Mandino
I fall, I rise, I make mistakes,
I’ve been hurt, but I learn.
And I’m alive and thankful.
As you can see my computer is up and running again, at least somewhat. All the problems have yet to be resolved and I have a lot of new stuff to learn, but hey it’s good for my aging gray matter. Because I’m so late in being able to get going on this thing today and I’m still working on issues with it, I’m sorry to say that I’m not going to be able to read all of your posts from yesterday or today. But tomorrow is a brand new day, and things should be back to normal soon.
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving. ~Psalm 69:30 ✝

Ya know Natalie, I never get that giving and getting thing. If someone is GIVING to you why shouldn’t you be as happy as when you are giving to them. You diminish the getting by thinking that giving is more important. It’s not…at least not for the person who is giving to you. That never made sense. Who are you supposed to give to if you don’t know how to receive? Receivers are givers and vice versa…it can’t be any other way. Both are important and joyful. To think of others and to be thought of are the same thing. You can’t give without receiving…it’s impossible. It you make someone happy then you are receiving the happiness of making someone happy and both of you will be smiling and giving and receiving. So, yeah. I’ve read that a million times and it’s just not true, they are one in the same. The giver always receives when giving, no matter how selfless and the revers is true. The receiver gives joy to the giver by accepting the smile or gift. They are the same. If there is no one to receive there is nothing to give. If there is nothing to give there is no one to receive. You have to have both for the concept to exist and neither one of them is better than the other. They are equal in everyday…they really are the exact same thing.

Natalie, as always I love your choice of words and wisdom. I’m also riding the learning curve/roller-coaster. But, like you say, it’s good for the brain.

Thanks, Tiny, so am I. Every day it gets a little easier. I’m still not happy with the new iPhoto and the editing tools. The one I had was so easy and I loved it. This one is harder and doesn’t have some of the great features the other one had. But maybe after time, I’ll get used to it and not miss the other one so much. Hugs, N 🙂 ❤
