957. It is November. The noons are more laconic and the sundowns sterner. ~Emily Dickinson

November is usually such a disagreeable month…as if the year had suddenly found out that she was growing old and could do nothing but weep and fret over it. This year it is growing old gracefully…just like a stately old lady who knows she can be charming even with gray hair and wrinkles. We’ve had lovely days and delicious twilights. ~Lucy Maud Montgomery

The glory of the young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old. ~Proverbs 20:29   ✝

  1. beautiful acorns!! I usually love November—sans birthdays–I think because it has always seemed like quintessential Autumn—but this year is different—maybe it’s the excessive rain and grey, maybe it’s the warmer than usual weather, maybe it was Paris—or just the world in general–but this November has not been November—but onward and upward we go 🙂

    • Other than the world events that have marred it, ours has been pretty much like Montgomery described it and it usually is here. We are going down into the low 30’s Sunday night and Monday night they say so it is coming to an end pretty soon it seems. As you say, upward and onward we go.
I’m sorry your November hasn’t been all that great. Hugs and love, N 🙂 ❤
