No, it’s Monarda, but the autumn clematis near it just got huge this year and swallowed up the things beneath it. And when I finally got the vine down for the winter, I couldn’t even find a remnant of the Monarda. 😦

Well I’ve learned a new plant as I’ve never heard of such but when I got a severe case of thunderwood a couple of years ago, the doctor had never heard of such — I thought all southerners knew thunderwood which makes poison look like a daisy 😛

Monarda is sometimes called Bee Balm because the bees love it as it’s very fragrant. I’ve also heard it called Bergamot. Well, this tired old Texas Tumbleweed is headed in and down for the day. Love you. Talk to you again tomorrow. N 🙂 ❤

What a way to end the day. Also a good reminder to pray from the heart, not memorized prayers from church. I have a few memorized ones I rely on but then I also speak to HIM from my heart.

You taught me, Natalie. My Mom used “bee balm” to describe what she grew to attract bees and butterflies. I now know it is officially monarda. I like this name! ♡
