All Nature seems at work.
Slugs leave their lair
The bees are stirring, birds are on the wing,
And Winter slumbering in the open air,
Wears on his smiling face a dream of spring.

Ooh, Natalie, you just HAD to use a verse that mentions slugs, huh? I always wonder if the people who eat those slimy little critters have ever watched them instead of eating them. So thick in the country we slipped and slid across them just getting thru the housework every day.
Rainy day here and no motivation to move out of my nest today. Lunch time now, and back to my spinach bread (new recipe — score: 0 ). Hugs, A.

It actually is good, but takes a couple bites to get used to. Imagine, a complete meal in one thick slice of bread — buttered of course. Who knows what I’ll come up with next? I love combining recipes.
And yes, early morning on a country road, slugs are so thick it can cause you to slip down in the middle of a slimy mess. Still hungry?
