Tonight
Tonight I’m flying low and I’m
not saying a word
I’m letting all the voodoos of ambition sleep.
The world goes on as it must,
the bees in the garden rumbling a little,
the fish leaping, the gnats getting eaten.
And so forth.
But I’m taking the evening off.
Quiet as a feather.
I hardly move though really I’m traveling
a terrific distance.
Stillness.

    • I let the warm shower water hit my back for some time. It felt so good. So wish I could still sit in a warm tub but with my knee replacement it’s hard to get enough good traction to get up once I get down in it! I’d love to get a walk in tub but just don’t have the money for that. There are too many other things much higher on the list of wants. Oh well! 😘
