Boom! First I was upright;
and then I was down, humiliated,
hurt and covered in mud.

No, Humpty Dumpty fell not off a wall though there were trees all around today’s downward tumble. And Alice followed not a white rabbit down a hole, but there was a great plunge. And Jack wasn’t fetching a pail of water, but there was a bit of a hill and Jill(AKA Natalie) went down with a huge thud. Sadly but truly, kiddies, I fell hard today. It has rained so much here lately that the ground is so saturated and soggy, and when I went to step on some grass to reach my car, my foot slipped in the mud beneath it and kaboom down I went. The worst part was that my right leg folded backwards underneath me and the full weight of my body crashed down on it. And so very, very sore are my leg and my foot. I’ve been icing it for hours and taking pain meds but it still hurts like holy hell. So I’m shutting this thing down tonight without being able to read your posts. I hope all of you have had a good day.
