The Sacred World

The world is not a problem to be solved; it is a living being to which we belong. The world is part of our own self and we are a part of its suffering wholeness. Until we go to the root of our image of separateness, there can be no healing. And the deepest part of our separateness from creation lies in our forgetfulness of its sacred nature, which is also our own sacred nature.

Walkways

Kev Brown Poetry's avatarKevin Brown Poetry

We walk at different paces,

You and I, Feeling –

Only the world,

Beneath our feet.

We’ve come to see,

Along gravel paths and dirt,

Wooden walkways –

And well trodden trails,

The bits of each other,

That make our journey –

Unforgettable.

We trek hand in hand,

I slow down,

You speed up,

And we meet somewhere –

In the middle,

On common ground,

Yet unknown to us –

There are always unspoiled places,

We discover together.
