Piglet noticed that…

Interestingly, A. A. Milne didn’t write the Winnie-the-Pooh stories and poems for children but instead intended them for the child within all of us which as I’ve written before must continue to be nurtured and kept alive. They were written by a British author almost a hundred years ago, and yet the characters remain endearing and teach profoundly important life lessons. I read these stories over and over again to my daughter until she was long past the age most children want to read children’s books, and I did the same with my grandchildren. But ya know, it could well be said that I read them as much for my pleasure as theirs.

An open and willing vessel

It’s hard to know which is more stunning here, the painting of Mary or the prayer by Loretta Ross-Gotta! May her invocation be heard and answered, Lord Jesus, our Emmanuel!

“I am the vessel.
The draft is God’s.
And God is the thirsty one.”

[That]A peace would settle over the planet like a velvet coverlet drawn over a sleeping child.
The world would recollect itself and discover itself held in the womb of the Mother of God.
We would be filled with all the fullness of God,
even as we filled the emptiness of the Savior’s heart with ours.

“Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle …
a seed waiting to sprout,
a bulb opening to the light,
a bud straining to unfurl.
And the anticipation nurtures our dream.”

A thrill of….

I know this is a bit premature, but the thrill of hope is already beating in my heart for I know that our Savior was born and what and who He is changed everything!!!

Throughout His life, Jesus…
had no servants, yet He was called Master.
had no learning degree, yet He was called Teacher.
had no medicines, yet He was called Healer.
had no army, yet Kings feared Him.
won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
committed no crime; yet He was crucified.
was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.
Emmanuel cannot be dismissed nor denied!
Hallelujah!
