God can consume us if and when take our eyes off what is going on around us and instead look to the Lord through His word, His creation, and His redeeming act of love on the cross. So look up, look out, look in but look not at the comings, goings, and doing of men.

This is right on time. I want to let God overpower the worldly concerns that consume me too often. It feels like a constant battle with moments of success and moments of forgetfulness. I offer this battle to the Lord to whom it belongs.
