This is Alex. He is my oldest grandson. He and Joe were both adopted at birth in Guatemala. Because of the red-tape involved in international adoptions Alex was six months old when his parents could go to Guatemala and bring him back here. He and his brother Joe both light up my life!!

This is both my boys. Alex is on the left and Joe is on the right. They are 15 and 16 years old now and if you’re wondering why all these photos are of them when they were so young, it’s because Mompie and her camera began to be “uncool.”

🙂 Yup, as they grow older they don’t care for that kind of stuff. Only on special occasions and holidays do they give in to the adult’s important things. ❤ ❤ 🙂

I’m so glad they light up your life. In nearly all the photos I have of my son as a teenager he has a sullen expression on his face, or he is hiding his face. Sometime in his 20s, he started to smile again for photos.

Such beautiful boys, I am sure they give a lot of joy. In Norway grandchildren are called life’s dessert, I am sure they are. This is Isabella by the way, I just made this blog to follow my precious core in a more manageable way. Hugs, Isabella ♡ ♡

Sorry for the late reply. Crazy busy day yesterday. I am sure they are the icing of the cake<3. I have three daughters and one son, no grandchildren yet. The older I get the more grateful I become for those blessings. Have a blessed day<3

I hope your family will learn about the situation in Guatemala & try to make others aware. There’s a reason there are so many orphans there & it’s not something that people might want to know about. BUT it is something PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT.
Sherrie Miranda’s historically based, coming of age, Adventure novel “Secrets & Lies in El Salvador” is about an American girl in war-torn El Salvador:
