To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter… to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring — these are some of the rewards of the simple life. ~John Burroughs
Each day, awakening, are we asked to paint the sky blue? Need we coax the sun to rise or flowers to bloom? Need we teach birds to sing, or children to laugh, or lovers to kiss? No, though we think the world imperfect, it surrounds us each day with its perfections. We are asked only to appreciate them, and to show appreciation by living in peaceful harmony amidst them. The Creator does not ask that we create a perfect world; He asks that we celebrate it. ~Robert Brault
Yesterday I went to a local nursery, and while I was looking around, I turned to see a hummingbird nectaring on the flowers there. Sadly I didn’t have my camera to capture the little hummer. So when I found this photo on Pinterest, it was like a gift, and I shall always celebrate God’s gifts.
They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. ~Psalm 145:7 ✝

Oooooh, its gorgeous!!!! ❤ I looooove hummingbirds! ❤ We don't have them in India or Norway but I saw many in Ecuador when I studied Spanish there. Thank you for this beauty!

They don’t have them in Britain either I found out from one of my other followers. I would hate not having the little guys around. They are so much fun to watch. I’m glad I could at least send you a photo of one. Hugs, N 🙂 ❤

Thanks, Brad. I can’t wait to read your post for the day. I’m running a bit behind tonight as you can tell.
It has been such a gorgeous day here and I’ve spent a lot of time outside in my yard. But I will get it read.

they are so wonderful—mine are back—been back a couple of weeks—but not yet a fierce of a feeder on the nectar—I suppose the pickings are still good out and about. . .
What a treat you had at the nursery!
When is Paris eh?

That’s the first one of seen here. I need to put my feeder out. I usually don’t see them in my yard until later in the summer, but who knows. It was a treat for sure. We leave June 22nd. My daughter was supposed to come today so we could work together on some of the final arrangements, but something came up with one of her children. So we’ll have to do it another day. Hugs and love to you too, missy. 🙂 ❤

Great photo. We really don’t appreciate what we are given. We just can’t comprehend the work that God does.

Lovely post Natalie. I love the ‘simple life’. It seems so much easier to live it here in Brazil. I’m truly thankful that God has called me here. It seems like hot climate cultures understand simplicity a bit more than cold-climate cultures.
It’s the simple things that make up the true joys of life.

You know what they say, “Simple minds have simple pleasures!” Guess that makes me pretty simple-minded, huh?! Hugs, N 🙂 ❤

I take my camera everywhere LMS. That is still a top spot though. Yes we should be thankful for whatever life gives us, it shows we’re still alive.

You know, I usually take mine everywhere too, Laurie, but that particular day, I knew we didn’t have much time and so I opted to leave it here. Huge mistake, huh?! Love’n hugs, N 🙂 ❤
