This quote speaks to me. Everything I cherish. The poppy speaks to me as the neighborhood clan where I used to live after my partner’s death planted poppies for remembrance. We shall see if they come up this spring.

Oh how cool was that Joseph❣ The seed pods when left to ripen contain hundred of seeds that easily germinate. The one one the photo appeared in my yard a decade ago and now I find them in places all over my yard plus I sow the seeds of others varieties each year too because I absolutely adore poppies even though their season is nipped in the bud eventually when it inevitably gets too warm here! But while they bloom I, like you, cherish them and all else that grows in my garden! So I hope some of the ones your neighbors planted‼❌⭕

Yes there is a long story attached to the planting of the poppies in remembrance of my partner. Yes I have had poppies in my garden for years and managed to grow a Himalayan poppy which is blue in color. they are so difficult to grow as they need shade and dappled lighting and I forget what kind of soil. I had twelve plants and only one bloomed and leafed all the others died. Be well
