Beautiful photo. I agree with the sentiment – provided that we see our “selves” in proper context as PART of a gigantic tree of life. We need to play our unique role…but not if that role is to destroy the entire tree of life. Such a goal is not “natural” or “healthy.” The advice in the quote is good advice for 99% of people who are too afraid to be themselves. For 1% of people who are already overwhelming self-centered and greedy, it can become an excuse to destroy things for fun.
